Community

CYDSA works in collaboration with communities to foster positive relationships, prioritizes safe operations, and takes responsibility for ensuring that the products and services it offers meet the needs and expectations of its consumers. The Group also supports local development projects and consistently promotes health, safety, and education in its surrounding communities.

As part of the Group’s Sustainability Model, the Community Action Line includes two priorities.

Safe Environment

6 Zero safety incidents in operational processes impacting the community.

Community Value

7 Support progress and well-being of the communities where CYDSA operates, encouraging social, health-related, educational, and cultural development, as well as ecological awareness.

The first priority focuses on ensuring a Safe Environment for the communities in which CYDSA operates.

Highlight

The second priority involves generating Community Value. This reflects the Group’s commitment to regional development through contributions to social and health-related causes, education, environmental awareness, and cultural initiatives that benefit the communities surrounding its operational sites.

In collaboration with neighbors and authorities, CYDSA supported projects that improved the community environment by:

Maintenance of a public square adjacent to a plant in Nuevo Leon, and of road infrastructure near a plant in the State of Mexico
Promotion of social, health and wellness, and sports activities for neighboring communities in Nuevo Leon and Veracruz
Reforestation and flora conservation programs, such as the reforestation of over 35 hectares from 2016 to 2024 in the state of Veracruz, and the conservation of native flora in Chipinque
Provision of classroom equipment in a community near the plant in Veracruz

Education is a key focus for the Group, which is increasingly committed to raising awareness in communities on topics related to sustainability and safety.
